The "Hello" singer, who has been dazzling audiences with her Las Vegas residency shows, shared that her condition originated during a ten-day residency in Munich this past August.
According to Adele, the infection was caused by a rare waterborne bacteria, leading to a painful ordeal she described as "worse than childbirth."
During a performance at Caesars Palace, Adele opened up to her fans about her struggle. "I've never had [an ear infection] before. It's the most painful thing that's ever, ever happened to me. It was worse than childbirth. It's very hard to treat," she said. Initially, she was prescribed the wrong antibiotics, exacerbating her agony until the correct medication was provided.
The wrong antibiotics left Adele in such distress that she confessed, "I wanted to chop my ear off a few times." Luckily, the appropriate treatment eventually alleviated her pain, though she still experiences temporary hearing loss in her left ear. "I'm no longer in pain, which is great but I'm a bit deaf in my left ear," she disclosed to her audience.
Despite this setback, Adele continues to perform, wrapping up her Las Vegas residency, "Weekends With Adele."
Aside from her ongoing battle with the ear infection, Adele has faced multiple health challenges throughout her career. She had to cancel shows due to voice issues, including vocal cord microsurgery in 2011 and, more recently, a sciatica attack that forced her to rest during her performances.

"I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break," she emotionally told her fans during her performance in Munich.
