AceShowbiz - Season 26 of "The Voice" officially kicked off its Battle Round in the Monday, October 21 episode. In this round, coaches Michael Buble, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire would pit two of their singers against each other, while the other coaches were given a chance to steal the losers.
Team Snoop's Christina Eagle and Gail Bliss performed first, singing "Redneck Woman" by Gretchen Wilson. "Way to bring the party to town," said Reba following the performance, while Michael said he loved the song choice. Snoop eventually kept Christina and Gail was eliminated.
Later, Sloan Simon and Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen hit the stage to sing Billie Eilish's "Birds of a Feather". Michael said he could see Sydney was nervous as he leaned towards Sloan more. Gwen apparently agreed as she said Sloan looked more "ready." However, Gwen chose Sydney as the winner with Snoop, Michael and Reba trying to steal Sloan. Sloan eventually went to Team Michael.
Following it up were Team Reba's Alison Elena and Kendall Eugene, who opted for "Bring on Rain" by Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw. Gwen thought it was a "beautiful" performance, while Michael said he'd pick Alison. Reba was torn before she ended up choosing Kendall over Alison, who was eliminated.
Singing "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton were Team Snoop's Eliza Pryor and Mikaela Ayira. Reba and Gwen loved the performance but they chose not to pick. Snoop had a hard time choosing one of the hopefuls, but decided to keep Mikaela on his team. Eliza was eliminated.
Up next, Jaylen Dunham and Jan Dan from Team Gwen tried to impress their coach with a performance of "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder. Michael praised Jan's runs, while Snoop appreciated that Jan looked out for Jaylen. Gwen eventually announced Jan as the winner and Jaylen was eliminated.
Team Michael's Kiara Vega and Mor Ilderton followed it up with a performance of "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls. The performance rendered Reba to tears as she said she'd pick Mor. Gwen praised Kiara's stage presence, though she said she's drawn to Mor's unique style. After much consideration, Michael picked Kiara and Gwen stole Mor at the last minute.
