AceShowbiz - The Virginia Department of Health has confirmed that the cause of death for "16 and Pregnant" alum Autumn Crittendon was "toxicity from fentanyl and para-fluorofentanyl." Para-fluorofentanyl is a synthetic opioid more potent than fentanyl. Crittendon's manner of death has been ruled accidental.

Crittendon, whose legal last name was Oxley, was found unresponsive at her home on July 20 and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 27 years old.

Crittendon first appeared on "16 and Pregnant" in Season 5, which aired in 2014. She documented her pregnancy and the birth of her son, Drake, with then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin. Crittendon went on to have two more children, Abigail and Luke.

Crittendon's sister, Misty Crittendon, broke the news of her sister's death in a now-deleted Facebook post. She wrote, "You were robbed of your life at such a tender age, you left before anyone could tell you goodbye... how amazing you are and how proud we are of you for staying sober through some of the toughest parts of your life."

Crittendon is the most recent "16 and Pregnant" cast member to pass away. Valerie Fairman died in Season 2 in 2016 from a drug overdose; Jordan Cashmyer, who appeared on the show in 2014, died in 2022 of fentanyl and cocaine intoxication; and Sean Grainger, the father of Selena Gutierrez's baby in Season 6B, died in March in an ATV accident.
