AceShowbiz - Liam Payne's final picture has surfaced online in the wake of his sudden passing. The British singer was last photographed getting into an elevator at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Bueons Aires, Argentina before he fell to this death on Wednesday, October 16.

The grainy photo, which was taken from security footage from the hotel and obtained by America Television, shows the former One Direction member holding what seems to be a laptop while waiting for the elevator. Wearing a loose-fitting white tank top and slacks, he appeared expressionless while looking straight ahead.

It's unclear how much time passed before Liam tragically died from "extremely serious injuries" when he fell from the balcony of his third-floor room. He was reportedly "acting erratic" prior to his passing.

On Thursday, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office in Argentina said in a statement that the singer was likely unconscious when he fell to his death at age 31. "The prosecutor's office indicated that, due to the position in which the body was left and the injuries from the fall, it is presumed that Payne did not adopt a reflex posture to protect himself and that he could have fallen while in a state of semi or total unconsciousness," the local officials said. Additionally, "No injuries were observed that would suggest the involvement of third parties."

Previously, local authorities told multiple news outlets that they believed the singer "jumped from the balcony" of his hotel room, leading to his fatal injuries. Autopsy report has since revealed that he died from "multiple traumas" and "internal and external hemorrhages" he suffered from the fall.

Meanwhile, photos from his hotel room show it was trashed and littered with drug paraphernalia and alcohol at the time of his death. The photos, obtained by La Nacion, reveals that Liam's hotel room had a smashed television, a half-filled champagne glass and foil and powder scattered.

On a desk, the "Strip That Down" crooner had an empty Dove soap packet, a burning candle, a burnt soda can top and a piece of aluminum foil. There were also traces of a white powder that authorities will test to confirm suspicions it could be cocaine. Additionally, wax and burnt foil was found in the bathtub.

Sky News also reported that the local police's search of the singer's room led to the discovery of alcohol as well as drugs. One drug they found was clonazepam, which is used to control epilepsy, involuntary muscle spasms or panic disorders. Next to his body, police found Whiskey, a lighter and a cell phone.

Liam's family broke their silence on his death on Thursday. "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul," they said in a statement. "We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time."
