The three British actors are set to star on the upcoming gangster drama series from Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett that is being developed for Paramount+.

AceShowbiz - Paramount+ has announced that Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan are in final negotiations to lead the cast of its upcoming series "The Associate" (working title). The project was initially developed as a spin-off of "Ray Donovan", but will now be a standalone series.

Guy Ritchie will direct "The Associate", which follows two generations of gangsters, their businesses and their complex relationships. The one-hour drama will focus on Harry (Hardy), a fixer who is both dangerous and handsome. Mirren and Brosnan will play the crime family's matriarch and patriarch, respectively.

Hardy will reunite with Ritchie after working together on "RocknRolla". For Mirren, "The Associate" is her follow-up to "1923", while both she and Brosnan recently starred in "The Thursday Murder Club".

Ronan Bennett, writer of the British crime series "Top Boy", penned the script for "The Associate". He will executive produce alongside Ritchie, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin and Ivan Atkinson.

"The Associate" marks Ritchie's latest television project after creating "The Gentlemen" for Netflix. The director has also helmed films such as "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare", "Snatch", "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and Disney's "Aladdin".
