Kelly Ripa couldn't resist a cheeky jab at Ryan Seacrest as they reunited on 'Live with Kelly and Mark,' playfully poking fun at his new gig on 'Wheel of Fortune' and sharing hilarious anecdotes.

AceShowbiz - On October 7, Ryan Seacrest returned to familiar territory on "Live with Kelly and Mark," joining the show to promote his new children's book, "The Make-Believers," co-authored with his sister, Meredith Seacrest Leach.
However, it didn't take long for his former co-host Kelly Ripa to steer the conversation towards Seacrest's new role as the host of "Wheel of Fortune." With her trademark wit, Ripa opened with, "So, tell me about 'Wheel of Fortune' now. Have you learned how to spell?"
Seacrest played along, conceding that while he still "doesn't text well," he is doing fine with the game show puzzles. "I kind of know where we're going with the puzzles," he remarked, adding humorously, "Either in my head or in front of me. I mean, it's somewhere."
The banter between the two continued as Ripa teased, "Cause you have the answer in front of you, don't you?" to which Seacrest quipped back, "Either in my head or in front of me. It's somewhere."
Seacrest, who co-hosted "Live!" with Ripa from 2017 until he was replaced by her husband Mark Consuelos in April 2023, made his debut as the new host of "Wheel of Fortune" on September 9, taking over the reins from the legendary Pat Sajak.
Reflecting on his new position, Seacrest expressed deep appreciation for the show's legacy and the joy it brings to families across America. "The show means so much to so many people. They grew up with it. Their grandma watched it, their parents loved it, they watched it together as a family, and it really has that specialness to it. So meeting everybody, giving away the cash and prizes, even more fun than I thought," he shared.
Despite seamlessly stepping into his new role, Seacrest couldn't evade the astute observation of viewers who noticed his "first official blunder" on "Wheel of Fortune." During a recent episode, he paused awkwardly after a contestant completed a puzzle.
However, Seacrest seemed unbothered by the minor blip, focusing instead on the positives of his experiences on the show. He also humorously noted that contestants are often more excited to see Vanna White than him. "They're like, 'Hi, Vanna! Ryan, we see you everywhere,' " he laughed.
Seacrest's reunion with Ripa showcased their enduring camaraderie and playful rapport, leaving fans nostalgic and excited for what lies ahead in both their careers. You can catch "Live with Kelly and Mark" on weekdays in your local listings and "Wheel of Fortune" weeknights.
