AceShowbiz - In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kristen Bell revealed a harrowing experience that taught her a valuable lesson. "A couple of months ago, I set the trash can on fire by accident," she admitted.
Bell recalled being in the kitchen when she lit a candle and, without thinking, threw the match into the trash can. "I opened it up and [realized] that the trash can is on fire," she said.
Although she was able to extinguish the flames, Bell recognized the seriousness of the situation. She immediately used it as an opportunity to educate her daughters. "I sat my girls down and told them, "'this is a mistake mommy made. You gotta wet the match in order not to burn the house down,'" she shared.
Bell's prompt actions demonstrated her composure and experience in handling on-screen fires. From her character Elle Bishop's ability to summon lightning strikes in "Heroes" to her daring escape from a burning refrigerator in "Veronica Mars," she has repeatedly faced fiery situations with aplomb.
Beyond her on-screen experiences, Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard, have been candid about their parenting journey. They have shared insights into their "free-range parenting" style and their decision to allow their daughters to taste non-alcoholic beer.
Currently, Bell stars in the romantic comedy series "Nobody Wants This" alongside Adam Brody. The series follows the blossoming romance between a lifestyle podcaster and a Rabbi and is set to premiere on Netflix on September 26th.
With their impressive television credits, including "Veronica Mars," "Gossip Girl," and "The O.C.," Bell and Brody bring a wealth of experience to the new show. It's a promising collaboration that is sure to resonate with audiences.
