AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has been accused of lying about not having plastic surgeries after being confronted about it during a recent interview. The singer/actress was recently strapped to a lie detector while addressing the rumors, but her answers were dubbed dubious by an Internet personality.
YouTuber Lorry Hill insinuated that the former Nickelodeon star was likely lying about not having any procedures done to her face and her body because she gave elaborate answers to the questions. Lorry noted on her Instagram Story, "Just so we are all clear; Polygraphs (lie detector tests) must be answered with a 'yes' or a 'no' with no narrative or explanations permitted."
Agreeing with Lorry, an Instagram user claimed, "Also with her doing all that movement….what lie detector is gonna capture anything lmao." Another remarked, "Duh, she's had a facial overhaul. She's delusional to think that anyone with the gift of sight would believe that fo a second."
Many social media users, however, have come to Ariana's defense, with one saying, "Did anybody realize Ariana dosent owe anyone the truth She can get work done if she wants, maybe she did or maybe she didnt. THATS HER BUSINESS."
Another clapped back at the YouTuber, "Why she care get a damn life." Someone suggested, "Maybe let's try to mind our own business for a change." One other said, "If she did who cares if she hasn't who cares nobody owes yall transparency about their procedures so people can feel good about themselves pls log off."
During Vanity Fair Lie Detector Test interview, Ariana sat down with her "Wicked" co-star Cynthia Erivo who asked if the 31-year-old had ever had any "work done" to make herself "feel more popular." Ariana asked, "To my face? To physical appearance?" Cynthia reiterated, "Yes, I'm going to ask all the questions." Ariana replied, "Thank goodness."
When asked if she's ever had a nose job, the "7 Rings" songstress said no. She also denied getting a "boob job," saying, "Can you imagine?" While she said that she had not gotten a facelift, the "Victorious" alum admitted she was "open" to the idea.
When the lie detector test technician determined that Ariana had been "truthful" in her answers, the star was delighted. "This is the best day of my life. Take that, you YouTube people," she exclaimed, referencing her online critics.
Cynthia continued pestering Ariana about the plastic surgery rumors by asking if she had had a fox eye lift, a procedure that gives the corners of the eyes a slight lift. "No, but I discovered it through people who thought I did and I said, 'Thank you,' " she responded.
She also said she had not had a chin implant, but went on to explain some of the work she has had done. "I've had fillers in various places and Botox, but I stopped like four years ago, and that is the extent. But (I'm) also like in full support of all people who do these things, work, whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed. Why do we care?" she stressed.
When asked if she's ever gotten a BBL a.k.a. a Brazilian butt lift, she jokingly responded, "Get the f**k out of here! Yes." The test technician then noted that Ariana was "being deceptive" with her playful answer, and the star clarified her response. "No, that wouldn't work for me. I don't think that's my thing. And I'm OK with that," she said.
