AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has grown tired of wild narratives after she skipped Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs games back-to-back. A new report suggests that the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter slams claims that her attendance was the reason for the athlete's poor start in the season.
"It's absolutely absurd and a misogynistic to speculate that Taylor's attendance impacts Travis' performance," a source close to the pop star tells Daily Mail. "He loves her support but doesn't expect her at every single game, just as she would not expect him at every "Eras" tour date. And fans don't make a fuss when he's not at every gig."
The insider further notes that the couple has "their own lives and own careers, and both are at the top of their game." The source continues, "They can support each other without being physically present. TV exists after all."
The source also shuts down split rumors, saying, "Taylor and Travis spent September 28, the day of their so-called breakup, at her home in LA, living it up just as they planned. They spent the day doing the exact opposite of breaking up."
"People need to chill and drop this breakup nonsense, just like they should stop the endless speculation about marriage and engagement. One day it's this rumor, the next it's that, and they're not even close to either," it divulges.
The new report came after Taylor missed the Chiefs' 17-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday as well as the team's Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The "Cruel Summer" songstress' absent unsurprisingly sparked speculations among people.
Cosmopolitan's Mehera Bonner, however, pointed out that a potential scheduling conflict related to the upcoming resumption of her "The Eras Tour" concert run might force Taylor, who has been a dedicated supporter of Kelce and the Chiefs, to skip the games. The tour resumes on October 18 in Miami, and Swift may be preparing for its launch.
Taylor and Travis have been together for over a year. They allegedly are both eager to settle down after the tour concludes. It's also said that the pair share a common desire for marriage and children.
