AceShowbiz - T.I. and Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie) have had criminal records, but they are not going to let their kids go down the same wrong paths. In a rare parenting moment, the two fathers have surprised social media users with their wisdom and protective instinct as they chastised their sons for using guns during a music video filming.
In a video which circulated online on Tuesday, September 24, the two hip-hop stars showed up on the set of their sons King Harris and Tootie Raw's music video for an unspecified song. "Treat mine like you treat yours," T.I. said as he walked away from the group.
Boosie chimed in as asking, "Why y'all got so much guns, bro? Why y'all always gotta have guns?" T.I. added, "What is it about the guns, man?" while standing next to Boosie.
King then responded, "It's not illegal to have guns," prompting T.I. to scold him. The rapper/actor claimed that the "manner" and "lifestyle" King was allegedly portraying in the music video makes the gun possession look illegitimate.
Boosie then let the boys know he won't be supporting the video, which was echoed by T.I. Tip added, "What kind of parent gon' support their goddamn kids when they sliding, riding and popping..."
Yelling at King, T.I. asked what will happen if police show up and ask who the weapons belong to. "Who raising they hand?" he asked. King denied there were drugs though. "That is a felony, thank you!" T.I. declared.
"You got girls here, why don't you talk about being in love," the "Rubber Band Man" hitmaker shared some advice. Someone responded, "We got that too," before the video cuts off.
After the video went viral, people commended T.I. and Boosie for setting boundaries on what is acceptable for their kids. Ebro Darden wrote in the comments of The Shade Room's post, "First, why ya'll rapping anyway? Too many rappers already. Second, why are you lying be yourself. Third, that's why the one brother, Domani, kinda poppin' .... Being himself. Amd furthermore… love this."
Another fan remarked, "Both parents have gun charges. They dont want that for their kids! This is how u parent! Love this!"
T.I.'s wife Tiny Harris a.k.a. Tameka Cottle later clarified that the video isn't a new one. "This is old!" she wrote in the comments. "This is frm a tv show that Tip & Boosie was filming with their sons! Wish u could see all the eps. They're funny but still instilling father & son values!!" Defending her son, she added, "Yall so quick to hate on King it's crazy!!"
