AceShowbiz - Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have agreed to participate in separate town halls hosted by TelevisaUnivision next month, providing a potential platform for undecided Hispanic voters.
On October 8 and 10, Trump and Harris will hold separate town halls in Miami and Las Vegas, respectively. Both town halls will air at 10 P.M. ET on Univision and stream on ViX's Noticias 24/7 channel, with English translations available on Noticias Univision's YouTube channel.
Anchor Enrique Acevedo will moderate the events, which will feature undecided Hispanic voters who will have the opportunity to ask questions.
"Noticias Univision serves as a two-way bridge, bringing every voice to our community while conveying the concerns of Latinos to those in power," said Daniel Coronell, president of Noticias Univision. "With over 36 million eligible Hispanic voters, they represent the largest minority in the country and have the power to influence the outcome of the race for the White House."
The town halls may provide a rare glimpse into unscripted appearances by the candidates before Election Night. While Harris has accepted a CNN-hosted debate on October 23, Trump has declined to participate.
In the past, presidential candidates typically participated in joint town hall debates organized by the Commission on Presidential Debates. However, in this election cycle, the campaigns have opted out of the commission's events and instead agreed to debates directly arranged by networks.
