Despite being 'proud' to have the Grammy-winning artist's endorsement, the Democratic presidential nominee admits that she and the pop superstar don't always agree on all things.

AceShowbiz - Kamala Harris isn't afraid to stand on her ground, even if that means clashing with one of her most important supporters. While Taylor Swift and Swifties have been rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs amid her romance with Travis Kelce, the VP has declared her loyalty to another team.

In a sit-down interview with WIRED posted on Friday, September 20, the 59-year-old politician admitted that she and Swift are not on the same page when it comes to NFL teams they root for. "But we were on different sides of the Super Bowl last year," she said. "I am a 49ers fan, but who’s mad at anyone for being loyal to their team, right?" she quipped.

Despite their differences, Swift has agreed to endorse Harris for president at the upcoming election. During the interview, the vice president spoke on the Grammy Award-winning artist's endorsement.

Harris said she's "very proud to have the support" of the 34-year-old singer/songwriter. She had nothing but praises for the "Love Story" songstress, adding, "She's an incredible artist. I really respect the courage that she has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right."

Swift weighed in on the 2024 presidential election for the first time following Harris' debate with Donald Trump on September 10. Taking to her Instagram page, she declared, "I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election."

The 34-year-old singer/songwriter went on explaining the reason behind her decision, "I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman's right to her own body for decades."

Following her endorsement, Walz said that he's "grateful" for Swift's support, while George Clooney praised her "beautiful" action. "It was beautiful. What a beautiful thing to do," the actor said at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film "Wolfs".

"And, you know, she's a real phenomenon right now and it's exciting to see all these young people really engaged in sort of the national discourse," the 63-year-old actor/filmmaker added as his co-star Brad Pitt nodded in agreement. "I think it's exciting and so I'm very excited to see her engaged."
