AceShowbiz - It has indeed been eventful for Atlanta's own Quavo. The artist has been seen participating in high-profile collaborations, delivering electrifying performances at award shows, and is even set to appear in an upcoming movie. However, it's not all glitz and glamour for the rap star. He now finds himself embroiled in a legal dispute and facing court trials.
According to TMZ, Quavo is being sued by Louisiana rapper Lamount London, known as L.Mont, who alleges that back in 2016, after opening for Migos and 2 Chainz at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, he handed Quavo a CD containing his track "Bubble Gum", hoping for potential collaboration opportunities. Fast-forward to a few years later, Quavo released his debut studio album "Quavo Huncho", which included a track titled "Bubble Gum". L.Mont claims that the lyrics, arrangement and melody of Quavo's "Bubble Gum" significantly resemble his own track and is seeking damages for the alleged infringement.
This lawsuit isn't Quavo's only legal issue. Earlier in the week, Quavo provided his testimony regarding a 2018 altercation at the Encore Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The confrontation involved a valet named Antonio Henry, who later accused Quavo of causing physical and emotional harm. Henry is pursuing monetary compensation for the damages.
