AceShowbiz - The official trailer for "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" has been released, giving us our first glimpse at the sequel to the 2018 action-heist hit. Written and directed by Christian Gudegast, the film sees Gerard Butler reprising his role as Big Nick, while O'Shea Jackson Jr. returns as Donnie.
The synopsis reveals that Big Nick is back on the hunt in Europe, pursuing Donnie, who has become involved with diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia. As they plan a massive heist, Nick confronts Donnie and proposes they join forces.
The supporting cast includes Michael Bisping, Salvatore Esposito, Orli Shuka, Evin Ahmad, Cristian Solimeno, Nazmiye Oral, Yasen Zates Atour, Giuseppe Schillaci, Dino Kelly, Rico Verhoeven, Velibor Topic, Antonio Bustorff and Ciryl Gane.
Christian Gudegast also returns to helm the sequel, which was budgeted similarly to the original. The studio is likely hoping for a similar box office return, and with minimal competition during its release window, "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" has a good chance of achieving that goal.
The official trailer showcases the film's high-octane action and thrilling heist sequences. It also introduces the dynamic between Nick and Donnie, who have moved from adversaries to unlikely allies. "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" hits theaters on January 10, 2025.
