Netflix's Geeked Week offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into season 2 of 'The Sandman', teasing new characters, storylines and the expansion of the Endless family.

AceShowbiz - Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for season 2 of "The Sandman", based on Neil Gaiman's popular graphic novel series. The season will adapt the "Season of Mists" storyline, in which Lucifer relinquishes control of Hell and presents the key to Dream, leading to a battle for its possession.

The featurette showcases the introduction of the Norse gods Thor (Laurence O'Fuarain), Loki (Freddie Fox) and Odin (Clive Russell), who attend a banquet hosted by Dream for various deities and immortals. It also previews the debut of Dream's siblings, Destiny (Adrian Lester), Delirium (Esme Creed-Miles) and the Prodigal (Barry Sloane), who gather for a "family dinner."

Other significant additions to the cast include Ruairi O'Connor as Dream's son Orpheus, Ann Skelly as Nuala, Douglas Booth as Cluracan, Jack Gleeson as Puck, Indya Moore as Wanda, and Steve Coogan as the voice of Barnabas the dog. The season will further explore the Endless family, with all members appearing together on screen for the first time.

The story will delve into the "Mist and Brief Lives" storylines from the comics, exploring themes of old loves, family conflict, and the nature of Death.

"The Sandman", produced by Warner Bros. TV, is slated to return in 2025. While Neil Gaiman, who created the graphic novels, is not featured or mentioned in the featurette, the series continues its adaptation of his acclaimed work.
