AceShowbiz - Ashanti has embraced her postpartum body after giving birth. Around two months after welcoming her child, the "Foolish" songstress confidently flaunted her figure during her first day of gym.
On Monday, September 16, the 43-year-old singer/songwriter revealed that she has returned to the gym for the first time since her baby's arrival. Making use of Instagram Stories, she offered social media users a glimpse of her workout session by sharing a series of videos.
In one of the short clips, it could be seen that Ashanti was showing off her outfit of the day after arriving at the gym. She put on a busty display in a black bra top underneath a pink tank top. She also donned a pair of matching leggings.
Ashanti completed the look with a pair of orange sneakers, which came with white soles. She also rocked a black Nike hat, which featured white embroideries on its front side, and a pair of shades. In addition, her long dark-colored hair was styled in an updo.
Another video, in the meantime, documented Ashanti walking on a treadmill. The singer, who showcased her makeup-free face, appeared to be in good spirits, flashing her radiant smile at the camera. Meanwhile, the other footage showed her doing a leg workout on a black mat.
The videos were later shared by a blog via Instagram, prompting social media users to shower Ashanti with praise for sharing her relatable journey after giving birth. In the comments section, one in particular gushed, "Her && Ciara gives us real transformation in the gym from having a baby and I love that."
Similarly, another marveled, "Love how she waited for her body to heal up some before getting in the gym..these others be in there the next day smh." A third exclaimed, "This what I'm talkin bout she let her body rest before hopping right in the gym." A fourth added, "Finally a real ppd body , !!! AND LOOKS SO GOOD."
The stories came less than one month after Ashanti broke the news about the arrival of her and Nelly's first child. On August 21, the couple's representative shared the details, "Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their baby boy, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, on July 18, 2024.
