AceShowbiz - During the season 19 premiere of TLC's "Sister Wives", Kody Brown revealed that his failed marriages had significantly impacted his relationship with Robyn Brown. Kody, 55, expressed that he and Robyn, 45, were "in a struggling place," acknowledging that his ex-wife Christine Brown seemed to have moved on after their breakup. Robyn agreed, stating that their marriage was at its lowest point.
Kody has experienced multiple separations and divorces over the years. His split from Christine, 52, in November 2021 was followed by his separation from Janelle Brown in December 2022. His first wife, Meri Brown, confirmed their split in January 2023, ending their 30-year marriage.
Robyn explained that Kody was feeling a sense of rejection and had turned to her, saying, "Are you going to reject me too?" She expressed concern about his tendency to sabotage their relationship and admitted that there were no resources available for a woman married to a man who was going through multiple divorces.
Robyn, who had experienced a divorce prior to marrying Kody, had intended to grow old in a polygamist family alongside the other wives and their children. However, with Christine, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown leaving Kody, she found herself questioning the future.
Kody's marital struggles have also tested his faith. He shared that he could no longer look in the mirror and say he loved himself or go to God for help. His prayers, he said, were no longer the same as they once were.
In a separate episode, Christine, Kody, and Robyn came face-to-face for the first time since their breakups at Mykelti Padron's baby sprinkle. Christine admitted to feeling nervous about seeing them, while Kody and Robyn were also apprehensive.
Robyn explained that she had kept her distance from Christine because she had been told that Christine did not want a relationship with her, and she respected that boundary. Christine, in turn, noticed Kody and Robyn's avoidance and said she would not pretend to be friendly with them.
Despite the awkwardness, Kody and Robyn left the baby sprinkle without directly interacting with Christine. Kody reflected on their marital struggles, acknowledging that he and Robyn were in a low point. He also expressed a belief that Christine was in a better place since moving on.
