"VMA week-ed too hard and now the lupus is lupus-ing," she wrote, accompanied by a pink butterfly on her nose, a symbol of her condition.

She added, "Treatment today and a mandatory rest day so I don't spiral. New normal." Halsey also referenced her cosmetics line, About-Face Beauty, noting that her lupus was giving her a "blush rush."

The news of her lupus flare-up comes after Halsey publicly confirmed her engagement to Jogia. At the VMAs, she initially referred to him as her "boyfriend," but later corrected a social media post to state, "***fiancé Avan Jogia."
