The prequel to the hit TV series 'Dexter' has started to drum up anticipation for its upcoming premiere by unleashing its first teaser trailer with the original actor making a surprise return.

AceShowbiz - The first teaser trailer for "Dexter: Original Sin" has arrived, featuring Michael C. Hall as the voice of the titular murderer. The footage reveals the origin of Dexter's deadly urges and the people who shaped him.
Set in 1991 Miami, the prequel introduces a younger Dexter (Patrick Gibson) and his father, Harry (Christian Slater), who guides him in adopting the Code that allows him to target deserving victims. However, Dexter's forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department poses a challenge as he must evade detection.
The series also stars Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, and Sarah Michelle Gellar in a guest role. Clyde Phillips, showrunner of the original series' first four seasons, returns in that role.
"Dexter: Original Sin" will premiere on Paramount+ for subscribers with the Showtime plan on Friday, December 13, before making its on-air debut on Sunday, December 15. The 10-episode prequel is currently in production.
Hall, who reprised his role in the sequel series "Dexter: New Blood," is an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds, Mary Leah Sutton, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Michael Lehmann serves as directing executive producer.
