AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion has gone all out for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. While hosting the big event, the "Girls in the Hood" raptress paid homage to Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears with her stunning outfits.
On Wednesday, September 11, the 29-year-old female hip-hop artist made an appearance at the award show, which took place at the UBS Arena in New York. For her hosting gig, she had prepared several stylish costumes, including those that were inspired by Beyonce and Britney's looks.
At one point during the show, Megan appeared in front of star-studded attendees in a sparkling get-up. She recreated Queen Bey's look for the 2024 Olympic introduction. Megan flaunted her jaw-dropping figure in a skin-tight white, blue and red bodysuit that came with one strap.
While Beyonce's clothing piece featured a "USA" graphics, Megan's costume had a "VMA" sign on the wearer's chest. She completed the look with a pair of white pointed-toe high heels. In addition, her short black hair was styled in a bob with her bangs covering her forehead.
This was not the only outfit that Megan donned at the 2024 MTV VMAs. While speaking to the packed audience, she channeled Britney in a sizzling colorful get-up. The "Hiss" rapper rocked a green bra top that had two straps and an embellishment on its front side.
Megan enhanced the look with a pair of green-and-blue shorts, which featured gold sequins. She also had glittery 3D stickers on her chest. While Britney accessorized herself with a stack of stone bracelets, Megan put on a simple white bracelet on one of her wrists.
Megan was showered with praise by many social media users for her gorgeous looks for the hosting gig. One in particular gushed, "She eating these looks upppp!! Damn she looks amazing." Similarly, another chimed in, "I love how she not only has her original style but never ceases to take a moment to pay homage to who she looks up to!"
Despite the praises, Megan still received backlash. Though so, one user quickly came to her defense, writing, "To all of you saying be original, please hush because obviously youve never watched the VMAs damn near every celebrity host especially award shows someone is paying homage to somebody like shut up and get off the hate train damn. It's old and stale."
