AceShowbiz - Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are officially single again, one year after he pulled the plug on their marriage. The exes have finalized their divorce, ending their messy and bitter custody battle over their two daughters.
According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, September 10, a judge has signed off on their divorce. The terms of the settlement are confidential, but the American singer and the British actress previously went to mediation to work out a property and child custody settlement.
Joe and Sophie began dating in 2016 and got engaged a year later in October 2017. They got hitched on May 1, 2019 in Las Vegas before holding their second wedding in Paris, France in June of the same year. They welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in 2020, and their second daughter, Delphine, in 2022.
Joe filed for divorce in early September 2023 after four years of marriage. The divorce was acrimonious from the start, with the two parents fighting over the custody of their two children. Sophie sued her ex, accusing him of "child abduction" after he reportedly withheld their passports as the "Joan" star attempted to bring her daughters back to their "forever home" in the U.K.
Joe's rep denied the allegations by Sophie and she later dropped the lawsuit. After reaching a temporary custody agreement in October 2023, they said in a joint statement, "We look forward to being great co-parents."
Joe and Sophie have since moved on with new partners. The "Cake by the Ocean" singer was briefly dating actress Stormi Bree and has been romantically linked to Lebanese actress Laila Abdallah, while the "Dark Phoenix" star has been dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.
Neither Joe nor Sophie has addressed their finalized divorce. In the wake of the settlement, the "Camp Rock" star sang U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" during the Jonas Brothers' concert in Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday night.
