While some Internet users don't seem to understand the rage from Lil Wayne's camp, Master P suggests in an Instagram post that Tunechi should be part of the celebration in New Orleans.

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter has reacted to news that her rapper father wasn't selected as the headliner for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. On Sunday, September 8, the reality TV star made use of her X account to express her apparent disappointment.

"They envy greatness !!!!" so the "Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta" alum wrote on the app, formerly known as Twitter. She didn't provide context, but due to the timing, fans believed she's referring to news that Kendrick Lamar has been set to headline the big event next year.

Reginae's post came shortly after Lil Wayne's manager complained on Instagram that the "Annihilate" spitter wasn't chosen as 2025 Super Bowl headliner. "Confused. Disappointed. Angry. But most of all. Inspired," Fabian Marasciullo wrote on Instagram Stories.

"Will never again be in a position or have the [goat emoji] in a position where we are at the mercy of someone else's decision," he added, referring to the New Orleans-born star. "We will make the decisions."

Some Internet users, however, didn't seem to understand Lil Wayne's camp's anger. One said, "Why is everybody acting like this the first superbowl in Louisiana lmao and acting like Kendrick is a terrible artist or some."

Someone added, "An artist doesn't have to perform at the Super Bowl because it's in their city…." One other questioned why no one complained when Beyonce Knowles performed in N.O. adding, "This outrage is funny."

Meanwhile, Master P appeared to agree with the notion that Lil Wayne should be the one headlining Super Bowl LIX. On Sunday, Master P wrote on his Instagram page, "Salute to @kendricklamar for performing at the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX.. well deserved, he's one of the hottest music artists in the world and has one of the biggest songs right now."

"As Ambassador of Entertainment in the City of New Orleans I have to agree with the fans that @liltunechi #LilWayne should be a part of this celebration as well. He's one of the greatest Hop Hop artists alive, still relevant and he's a New Orleans native. Let's not miss this cultural moment in the South. Life is too short!" he added. "We have to give our legends their flowers while they are here. @masterpmasterclass #Godisgood Change starts with us. @nfl @jayz @mayorcantrell."

NFL announced on Sunday that Kendrick will perform on February 9, 2025, at the iconic Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a fitting venue for such a historical performance, with the event airing live on Fox.

Alongside executive producers Jesse Collins and Hamish Hamilton, Jay-Z's Roc Nation will oversee the halftime show for the sixth consecutive year. "Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer. His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally," Jay-Z praised the 17-time Grammy winner in a statement.
