A cop who detained the Miami Dolphins' receiver is put on administrative leave as the NFL star appears to make a reference to his arrest while celebrating his 80-yard touchdown.

AceShowbiz - Tyreek Hill has had a good laugh following his arrest ahead of the Miami Dolphins game on Sunday, September 8. The athlete seemingly poked fun at the incident during his Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After scoring his 80-yard touchdown, the wide receiver celebrated it by turning toward the crowd and putting his hands behind his back while standing in the endzone. He mimicked the position cops put him earlier in the morning, with his teammate Jaylen Waddle joining in by holding Tyreek's hands together.

Tyreek Hill's Reaction After Post-Game Arrest

Tyreek Hill poked fun at his arrest while celebrating his touchdown at Sunday's game.

Tyreek discussed the incident with reporters after the game. "I wasn't disrespectful because my mom didn't raise me that way, didn't cuss, didn't do none of that," he insisted, adding during his post-game press conference, "Like I said, I'm still trying to figure it out."

His teammate Calais Campbell told a reporter after the game that cops also slapped handcuffs on him during the incident. While he said he understands why, he admitted it still made him feel a certain type of way.

As reported before, Tyreek was briefly detained on his way to the Hard Rock Stadium. He was pulled over for a traffic incident and found himself lying face-down on the ground, handcuffed and surrounded by four police officers.

Addressing the incident, the Dolphins released a statement in which they said, "This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today's game."

The arrest has prompted an internal investigation within the Miami-Dade Police Department, with one officer being put on administrative leave. "Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted," Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels said in a statement. "I'm committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers."
