AceShowbiz - Artem Chigvintsev's domestic violence arrest unsurprisingly affects his career. According to a new report, he will not be returning for season 33 of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars".
A source told Page Six on Thursday, August 29, "There were no plans for Artem to be part of season 33." Neither ABC nor the professional dancer has publicly commented on the matter.
The new report came after Artem was arrested on charges of felony corporal injury to spouse in Napa Valley, Calif., around 10 A.M. local time on Thursday. He was released after paying $25,000 bail.
A representative for the Napa County Sheriff's Office told TMZ that deputies responded to a domestic violence call in Yountville, Calif., and subsequently arrested the dancer on the scene. According to the outlet, there were injuries in the incident. It was also said that the victim requested "total confidentiality" regarding the case.
His arrest came just days after he and wife Nikki Bella celebrated their wedding anniversary. Earlier this week, Artem wrote on Instagram alongside their wedding photos, "Happy anniversary my love, can't see my life without you. You are my everything [heart emoji]."
Nikki also took to her Instagram account to celebrate the big day. The retired WWE star shared the lyrics to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" alongside a video of them together on their wedding day.
"This song is our love story. I'll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on," she penned in her post. "And that's when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. Happy Anniversary @theartemc I love you!"
