AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa was once again targeted by PETA. The "A Star Is Born" singer found herself being called "shallow" by the animal rights nonprofit organization for allegedly buying a new French Bulldog puppy instead of adopting one.
PETA revealed to RadarOnline.com that it has created a sweatshirt to tell everyone "exactly what breed of person [GaGa] is." On the front part, there is a writing that reads, "I'm an a**hole! I bought a dog." On the back, there's a printing, "Adopt! Don't shop."
"Animal shelters are bursting at the seams with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds who desperately need loving homes," Senior Vice President Lisa Lange argued, "but Lady Gaga is apparently too shallow to care."
"There're a million reasons to adopt and not shop," Lisa added. "And PETA urges everyone to avoid being an a**hole and stop putting money into the pockets of breeders who destroy homeless animals' chances at finding a family."
According to PETA, animal shelters are overflowing with "wonderful" animals, many of which are considered purebreds. It claimed there are around 70 million homeless dogs and cats in the U.S. and the crisis will not end unless breeders stop churning out litters and strict spay and neuter laws start being enforced.
GaGa introduced her new French bulldog puppy on Wednesday, August 21. At that time, she shared a TikTok video of her serenading the puppy with her new Bruno Mars-assisted single, "Die With a Smile." She appeared in striking makeup, with black hair, red lipstick, and intense blue eyeshadow.
The new pup arrives nearly three years after GaGa's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot during an attempted dognapping. Two of her dogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen while the third was left behind and later recovered.
