In a collaboration that began when Hemsworth reached out to Sheeran last December, the actor explained he was working on a documentary about cognitive health and the positive impacts of learning a new instrument. In a video posted by Sheeran on Instagram, the singer shared, "Got [Chris Hemsworth] to learn to play drums for my stadium show."

Hemsworth, who learned to play the drums from scratch, saw this challenge as a "brain-boosting" exercise, tying into the broader themes of "Limitless". The series, which premiered its first season in 2022, is produced by Darren Aronofsky and follows Hemsworth as he explores universal issues such as pain, fear, cognitive impairment, and social connection.
