The 'Please Please Please' hitmaker allegedly throws shade at the 'Havana' singer on a song from her new album 'Short 'n Sweet; over a love triangle with the 'Stitches' crooner.

AceShowbiz - Sabrina Carpenter sparked chatters after releasing her sixth album, "Short 'n Sweet", on Friday, August 23. Fans believed that the "Espresso" hitmaker threw shade at fellow singer Camila Cabello over a love triangle with Shawn Mendes.
Fans noticed the alleged shades on "Coincidence", one of the songs off the 12-track album. On "Coincidence", Sabrina, who used to have a fling with Shawn, sings, "The second I put my head on your chest/ She knew, she's got a real sixth sense."
"Now her name comes up once, then it comes up twice/ And without her even bein' here, she's back in your life," Sabrina further serenades. She also implies that Camila sent explicit photos of herself to Shawn when he was with Sabrina as she continues, "Now she's sending you some pictures wearing less and less."
Upon catching wind of the shady lyrics, some fans slammed Sabrina for being caught in another love triangle. "Another love triangle involving Sabrina?" a fan asked alongside a crying emoji. "This is embarrassing for Sabrina," another added.
"The pop girlies are beefing," one person observed. Meanwhile, someone said, "That song is def about Shawn and Camila."
Sabrina and Shawn, who used to date Camila, sparked dating rumors when they were photographed hanging out together in February 2023. The sighting came only days after Shawn was allegedly seen outside Camila's apartment.
Later in March, it was reported that Sabrina and Shawn were dating following multiple public appearances together. However, in the same month, the "Where Were You in the Morning?" singer denied the romance rumors during his appearance on a podcast. "We are not dating but I think we should talk about Tommy Hilfiger probably more than Sabrina," he said at the time.
The next month, Camila and Shawn were snapped packing on PDA at Coachella. Their rekindled romance, however, was short-lived.
This wasn't the only public love triangle that Sabrina was involved in. Prior to this, it was widely believed that the girl on Olivia Rodrigo's "Driver's License" was Sabrina as she talked about her past relationship with Joshua Bassett.
