AceShowbiz - Despite fans' desire for further seasons or follow-ups, Elizabeth Debicki, who portrayed Princess Diana in the final two seasons of "The Crown", expressed her satisfaction with the show's conclusion. She stated that it "ended in the right place" and "respected its own cycle." Debicki praised creator Peter Morgan for "wrapping up such an enormous journey" effectively.

The sixth and final season of "The Crown" covered the years 1997 to 2005, with a focus on the death of Princess Diana, the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II, and the start of Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship. In addition to Debicki, the cast included Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Dominic West and Olivia Williams.

While "The Crown" has concluded, Peter Morgan has hinted at potential future projects set in its world, possibly as a prequel. However, he emphasized that it would not happen in the immediate future. Debicki echoed this sentiment, stating that she does not believe any follow-up seasons are necessary.

The show's six seasons have garnered critical acclaim and numerous Emmy awards, with Debicki receiving two nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Princess Diana. The show has been praised for its detailed portrayal of British history and its exploration of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and personal life.
