AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon appeared to have had a blast when she stepped out with her son. The former "Big Little Lies" star looked in sync with Deacon Reese Phillippe in their preppy outfits during a recent day out.

On Sunday, August 18, the 48-year-old actress and her 20-year-old son, who is a student at NYU, spent time together when they were out and about in Los Angeles, California. In a picture that made its rounds online, it could be seen that they were getting out of their car.

Deacon was photographed seemingly opening the door of the luxury black vehicle for Reese, who was sitting behind the wheels. The mother and son duo were caught on camera looking at each other with her holding a smartphone in one of her hands. They appeared in good spirits as they flashed their radiant big smiles in the photo.

For the relaxing outing on the sunny day, Reese opted to wear a black-and-white ensemble. She donned an oversized white shirt whose sleeves she rolled up above her elbows. She completed the look with a pair of black denim shorts and brown flip flops.

The "Legally Blonde" actress accessorized herself with a pair of simple earrings, a necklace, bracelet and wrist watch. She also tucked a pair of black sunglasses in her shirt. In addition, her long blonde tresses, which cascaded down her chest, were covered with a white hat.

Similarly, Deacon, whom Reese shares with actor Ryan Phillippe, went with a long-sleeved white shirt that featured green stripes all over it. He also sported a pair of green shorts and a matching cap, which covered his short hair. Furthermore, he wore a pair of black sandals and white bracelet.

This was not the first time Reese hung out with Deacon during summer. On August 10, she offered social media users a glimpse of her "summer nights" with Deacon. They enjoyed a breathtaking view of an ocean and sunset at what appeared to be an outdoor restaurant. Along with the snaps, she wrote in the caption of the post, "Summer nights with this guy are the best @deaconphillippe."
