AceShowbiz - Christian Serratos, known for her roles in "The Walking Dead", "Twilight", and "Selena: The Series", has officially stepped into her "wifey era." The 33-year-old actress recently announced her engagement to her longtime partner, New Politics musician David Boyd.
The news was shared via Instagram on August 16, accompanied by a series of photos showcasing her dazzling engagement ring.
Boyd, 36, meticulously designed the custom ring in collaboration with celeb-loved luxury jewelry brand Brilliant Earth. The ring features an 11.66-carat lab-created pear-shaped pink diamond set in a unique rose gold and red enamel band. Serratos described the piece as her "dream ring" and praised its "perfection" on social media.
In her Instagram caption, Serratos humorously noted, "I've been calling my boyfriend 'Husband' for ten years. Now it's OFFICIAL."
Her joyous announcement has been echoed by Boyd, who shared his own heartfelt message, "I've always loved you and I always feel happier and complete when I'm with you and Wolfie! Here's shouting it out from the rooftops and celebrating our love and continued future. I LOVE YOU."
The couple met a decade ago in Atlanta. Serratos shared, "David was on tour with Paramore and Fall Out Boy, and I was filming The Walking Dead at the time. I watched his performance, and when I went backstage to say hi to a friend who was on the tour, I was introduced to him. We had our first date the next night and have been together ever since."
They are parents to seven-year-old daughter Wolf, whom they welcomed in 2017.
As for their wedding plans, Serratos revealed to The Knot that they envision a ceremony that's both "camp" and "very deconstructed," reflecting their non-traditional lifestyles. "We aren't very traditional people," she emphasized. "I lean very introverted, so our wedding will likely be something very personal and unique."
With their celebratory Instagram posts and a decade of cherished memories, Christian Serratos and David Boyd are preparing for a unique and love-filled future together, soon to be officially husband and wife.
