AceShowbiz - After marrying drug and alcohol counselor Marc Schauer in 2009, it took years for Laura Linney to become pregnant. Despite the joy, the couple was able to keep the news to themselves and quietly welcomed their son Bennett Armistead in January 2014. She was 49 years old at the time.
Two years later, the four-time Emmy Award winner shared the reason for keeping her pregnancy under wraps. "Well, I was an older mother-to-be, and it had taken me a very long time to have a child," she explained on "Live with Kelly". "I wanted to make sure that my child actually arrived, and was safe and healthy."
