AceShowbiz - More details about an incident that led to James McCoy Taylor's arrest have been revealed. It has been reported that the former star of "The Bachelorette" was accused of tackling and "shoving" a woman.
In a probable cause warrant, which was published by PEOPLE on Monday, August 12, a woman alleges that James "intentionally or knowingly by force, intimidation or deception, restrain[ed] [the woman] without her consent by restricting the moments of the said [woman], by shoving her to the ground, getting on top of her and using his body weight to prevent her from getting off the ground."
While the identity of the woman was kept under tight wraps in the probable cause warrant, local outlet KBTX claimed that the woman in question is a 19-year-old college student. According to the document, the young woman met James at Manziel's Money Bar in College Station before heading to his condo, in which they "made out."
James reportedly got "very serious and intense" during the intimate moment, causing her to change "her mind and [want] to leave." She said that she had to call a friend from his bathroom to ask them "to order an Uber so she could leave."
However, James allegedly "tackled and got on top of her when she tried to leave." She eventually was "able to escape and flee the scene before she called the police department." In the same document, the woman also accused James of "[groping] her vagina."
The woman's accusations against James were revealed after the former contestant in Season 12 of the series was arrested. On August 4, the 38-year-old was detained by the College Station Police Department upon warrants from the nearby Bryan Police Department. He was charged with assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint following the April 24 incident. After his arrest, he was released on an $8,000 bond.
In the wake of the arrest, James maintained his innocence. In a statement, he dismissed the charges, stating, "I'm a pretty big guy but I was trying to 'unlawfully restrain' a girl and she just ... got away?... and walked right to her Uber right outside my house? With NO injuries?"
