Known for his iconic role in the 1999 comedy film 'American Pie', the actor has taken on a new role as host of Netflix's 'Blue Ribbon Baking Championship'.

AceShowbiz - Jason Biggs, who recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of "American Pie", joked that "there were no pies harmed" during filming, emphasizing that the show is family-friendly. "Of course, there's the wink at the camera and the audience with me as a baking show host," said Biggs. "And whenever I can't think of something to say, I always have a pie joke in my back pocket that brings the house down."
While Biggs does not judge the competition, he is involved in tasting the state fair-inspired delicacies. "After the judges did their thing, I went back to try everything," he revealed.
Despite Biggs' association with pies, he did not grow up attending state fairs. "The New Jersey State Fair takes place in the Giants Stadium parking lot," he explained. "When people picture a state fair, New Jersey's is not what they picture."
As for his feelings about "American Pie" turning 25, Biggs said, "My life is very much defined by a few different demarcation points. There's getting married, and there's having kids. But the most obvious ones in terms of craziness was Life Before 'American Pie' and Life After 'American Pie.' "
Although Biggs has used his "American Pie" connection for marketing, he emphasized that the baking show is not a repeat performance. "It's safe for family viewing," he assured. "There are pies and also non-traditional state fair desserts."
Episodes of "Blue Ribbon Baking Championship" feature creations such as fried Oreo cakes, dessert-on-a-stick, and strawberry cakes that blew Biggs' mind. The show aims to capture the spirit of state fairs with its blue-ribbon judges and charming co-host.
