The PnB Rock murder trial has concluded closing arguments, with jurors deliberating over a critical six-minute time span that lies at the heart of the case.

AceShowbiz - A critical and highly disputed six-minute timespan is at the heart of the PnB Rock murder trial, having finished closing arguments and now under jury deliberation in Compton, California. Prosecutors argue that the six minutes between 1:14 P.M. and 1:20 P.M. on September 12, 2022, were enough for Freddie Trone to drive out of Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles parking lot, arm his 17-year-old son with a semi-automatic gun, and bring him back, leading to the murder of PnB Rock, born Rakim Allen.

Trone's defense, led by Winston McKesson, offers a different scenario. McKesson contends Trone left Roscoe’s at 1:14 p.m., drove to his beauty supply shop, and found his Buick Enclave stolen by his son, who allegedly returned with three others. McKesson highlighted surveillance footage showing the shooter exiting the Enclave from the backseat, which he says indicates more people were in the car. "It tells you that there’s more people in the car," McKesson argued, placing doubt on Trone’s involvement.

However, prosecutors, led by Deputy District Attorney Timothy Richardson, refuted McKesson’s claims. Richardson argued that surveillance videos and travel routes made the defense’s timeline impossible. "In six minutes, the defense wants you to believe that [the teen shooter] rounded up his boys, got a strap, hopped in his dad’s car, and drove back to the Roscoe’s," Richardson said, asserting these were "coordinated acts" rather than coincidences.

The tragic death of PnB Rock, a breakout hip-hop artist known for his triple-platinum single "Selfish," shocked the community. His fiancee Stephanie Sibounheuang has testified about how Allen heroically pushed her out of harm's way during the shooting, a testimony that reinforces his legacy. Despite accusations that her social media post led the shooter to their location, prosecutors argued that the post didn’t provide specific details about their whereabouts.

Allen’s mother, Deannea Allen, emotionally followed the trial, calling for justice for her son. "I want justice. This was my son, my child," she told Rolling Stone. As the jury deliberates, the case outcomes for Trone and co-defendant Tremont Jones, who faces robbery and conspiracy charges, hang in the balance.

Freddie Trone’s alleged actions following the murder, including burning the Enclave and attempting to hide out in Las Vegas, further complicate his defense. Richardson labeled these moves as a "consciousness of guilt." Meanwhile, the alleged shooter, charged as a juvenile, remains on hold due to competency issues.

The jury’s imminent decision will bring closure to a high-profile case that continues to captivate and grieve the hip-hop world.
