Carpenter, who is set to open for Swift on her "Eras Tour", shared in an interview that she has maintained close communication with Swift throughout the SKIMS collaboration. "In that scenario, I've been very, very communicative with her about that situation," she explained.
Swift, renowned for her musical success, holds a special place in Carpenter's admiration. "I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she's done," Carpenter said. "She always puts out music at a time where I didn't realize I needed those songs."
Carpenter's support for Swift extends beyond her admiration for her music. She praised Swift's resilience amidst controversy, referencing the 2016 phone call leak by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. "As much as people want to believe you're tuned into every little thing, I'm not," Carpenter said. "In that scenario, I've been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end."
Despite several references to Kardashian in Swift's song "Thank You Aimee", Carpenter believes their friendship remains unaffected. "So it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that's all they have time to do."
