AceShowbiz - It didn't take long for Irv Gotti to respond to a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a former partner. Denying any wrongdoing, the music producer declared via his representative that he plans to file a countersuit.

"[The suit] was filed after Mr. Gotti rejected the attempt by this individual to coerce a payment of money from him," the rep said, according to TMZ. "The lawsuit contains a single page of 'facts' which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies."

"The allegations represent an affront to women who have truly suffered abuse," they added. "Mr. Gotti has been surrounded by strong women the entirety of his life - his mother, five sisters, and daughter."

The representative went on to note, "The top employees at his company are women... Mr. Gotti's relationships with women have been characterized by mutual respect, honesty, and empathy. Mr. Gotti's reputation has been placed at issue." They further divulged that Gotti plans to fight the "baseless" lawsuit in court and is even considering filing his own countersuit for defamation.

The suit was filed by Jane Doe in Miami-Dade County. In the complaint, the plaintiff accused Gotti of sexually assaulting and abusing the woman on several occasions between 2020 and 2022 in Saint Martin, Miami and Atlanta.

The woman said she met Gotti at a poker tournament in the summer of 2020 and he subsequently invited her to join him on a vacation to Saint Martin. During their trip to Caribbean island, she claimed the DJ coerced her into having sex with him, threatening to send her home if she didn't.

The two eventually began dating, but their relationship was allegedly marred by "constant abuse" as Gotti allegedly forced the woman to perform "unwanted sexual acts" and "berating" her. After they split in 2022, the alleged victim claimed that Gotti slandered her to his "vast social network" in and around Los Angeles, leaving her fearful to leave her home.
