AceShowbiz - Dwyane Wade wasn't offended by Cam'ron's reactions to his nail care brand plans. Instead of being mad at the rapper for walking off the "It Is What It Is" set upon hearing of the news, the former basketball point guard was amused by it.
The 42-year-old came clean about his plans on the "CBS Morning Show". When asked why he paints his nails in the first place, he explained, "Expression… I'm creative; I'm expressive. And there's so many ways to do that. (I'm) actually thinking about jumping into the nail-line… world."
"Like, I've been in it so long. And I'm like, You know what, it could be a good time," the former NBA star further elaborated. "But I got some cool ideas, and I'm exploring.
Dwyane also noted that painting his nails can help him bond with his trans daughter Zaya Wade. "One of my favorite things to do when it comes to this is actually sitting down with my daughter and getting my nails painted and painting hers. That's the time that we get to connect. Me doing something that she loves and also that I love," he shared.
Cam'ron weighed in on Dwyane's story on the "It Is What It Is" podcast, but he was seemingly wasn't too fond of the idea so he stormed off the set. The retired basketall player later reacted to the now-viral clip, "It's the oh my goodness for me (laughing emoji)."
A number of online users, meanwhile, poked fun at Cam'ron as they highlighted his belonging. "HOLD UP.... CAM WALKED OFF BECAUSE OF NAIL POLISH BUT THEN PICKED UP A PURSE?????" one user asked.
Another confused fan opined, "he was clownin Wade for havin a finger polish line but then jumped up and literally threw a whole purse over his shoulder." A third echoed, the sentiment "This man is mad at the nail care line but walked away with a PURSE?! A PURSE!!! I cant."
Dwyane previously said in an interview that he was inspired by Michael Jordan in keeping his nails groomed. "At first, I thought I was like, I can't get no polish on my nails; I just got to do (a) buff because I come from a community where if you do anything outside of the masculine norm, you're gay."
