AceShowbiz - Comedian Marlon Wayans' Los Angeles home was recently burglarized in a dramatic incident that occurred while his older brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans, was present. According to law enforcement, the break-in happened around 2:30 A.M. last Saturday at Marlon's $5.3 million Encino property.
The intruders managed to infiltrate the house by sneaking into the backyard and breaking a rear window. Keenen, who was asleep during the break-in, heard noises but didn't think much of them and went back to sleep.
Surprisingly, it wasn't until one of Marlon's staff members returned around 8:00 A.M. and found the house in disarray that the burglary was discovered. The thieves made off with a safe containing several thousand dollars in cash.
Despite the alarming incident, no arrests have been made so far. Authorities are actively searching the L.A. area for any video footage that could provide clues. The case is part of a broader trend of increased burglaries in Los Angeles, specifically targeting celebrities. Notably, NBA player Patrick Patterson and Utah Jazz's Talen Horton-Tucker have also fallen victim to similar crimes.
Marlon's stunning Encino property, which made waves for its stylish design, features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths. The expansive 5,000-square-foot farmhouse showcases an open-concept layout, a floor-to-ceiling marble fireplace, and sliding glass doors that lead to a breathtaking backyard. Additional amenities include a pool, spa, fire pit, guest house, and even a half-size basketball court.
As if the burglary wasn't enough, Marlon has also been dealing with a deeply personal issue: a custody battle for his one-year-old daughter, Axl. The child's mother, Brittany Moreland, has filed for a significant child support increase, amounting to over $21k monthly. Marlon addressed the issue on The Shade Room, explaining that he wasn't hiding his daughter but rather protecting her privacy.
"All love, all God. The baby isn't a secret. The mama has been posted. But I chose to keep the baby's private life private. Ain't nobody's business," he said. The comedian slammed Moreland's request for more money as "delusional," insisting that he is a good, loving, responsible father.
