AceShowbiz - At the 2024 BET Awards in Los Angeles, Halle Bailey shared the latest developments in young Halo's life. "Oh my gosh! Me and his daddy, we're laughing as his teeth are coming out," Bailey, 24, excitedly announced.
"He has two little teeth on the bottom poking out and I was crying when I saw that," she continued telling ET's Deidre Behar. This touching moment is amongst many that Bailey, alongside DDG, is cherishing since welcoming their son into the world earlier this year.
Bailey and DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., introduced Halo with a surprise announcement in January 2024. The couple's approach to keeping their son's life private has piqued interest, yet their occasional shared experiences captivate their fans. "Even though we're a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son," Bailey expressed via Instagram, accompanying a heartwarming photo of Halo's tiny hand.
Another moment of parental pride came at the 2024 SAG Awards, where Bailey revealed to Access Hollywood how Halo has begun cooing. "He started, like, cooing now. I'll talk to him, I'll sing to him, but I feel like he's trying to respond to me. It's the best thing in the world," the proud mother shared. Her adoration for her "sweetest angel" shines brightly as she navigates the new role of motherhood.
Bailey's devotion extends beyond the home. "He was living with me every day," she said, describing her time filming in Virginia with Halo by her side. As Bailey balances her thriving career and newfound motherhood, she remains dedicated to personal health and fitness. Her post-baby body journey has seen her take up hot yoga and boxing classes, boosting both her physical strength and confidence.
Despite the whirlwind of motherhood, Bailey continues to collaborate with her sister Chloe Bailey on their music projects, often reflecting on how much it means to her. "It makes me so happy to sing with my sister, always," she acknowledged.
