AceShowbiz - Reality star Lala Kent of "Vanderpump Rules" has expressed her gratitude for a break from filming the show's 11th season. In a recent episode of the iHeartPodcast "Two Ts in a Pod". Kent reflected on the challenging experience she faced during the season, which was marked by Tom Sandoval's affair with Rachel Leviss (Raquel Leviss).

"Was the show in jeopardy? Yes. And not because of anybody else but Tom Sandoval," Kent explained. "You wrecked the group. The show's based on the group, OK?"

Kent emphasized the need for more time to process the affair's impact on the cast, noting that the lack of "downtime" during filming contributed to a less cohesive season. However, she welcomed the break that the cast was granted this summer, marking the first time "VPR" has not filmed during the summer since its premiere in 2013.

"Am I scared? Truthfully, I feel a little bit relieved. I want a break," Kent said. "I cried every day out of frustration. I usually look forward to going and filming that show, [but this season] I dreaded every second. Every time they said, 'Hey, you've got a day off tomorrow,' I cried tears of joy because I was so happy I did not have to engage."

Prior to this, Lala addressed rumors of her joining "Vanderpump Rules" spin-off series "The Valley". Despite speculation about potential cast shakeups for "VPR" season 12, there has been no official confirmation. Kent has dismissed rumors that she may join the new series, the stating that she has no plans to leave "VPR"

"I have not had any conversation about entering 'The Valley'. I have had no thought about going on 'The Valley'. I bought a house in the Valley because I could not afford a home that was large enough for my family with a yard in the flats of Beverly Hills," Kent explained on her podcast, "Give Them Lala".

Kent also addressed her lack of a significant storyline in "Vanderpump Rules" season 11, attributing it to the overshadowing presence of the cheating scandal. She defended her decision to not "ride" for Sandoval, stating that she simply practiced compassion and acknowledged his humanity.

"I didn't show up to any of his events that he invited me to. I simply practiced compassion and acknowledged that a human being was a human being," Kent said.

She also criticized Katie Maloney for her reluctance to discuss her business on camera, questioning the validity of her concerns about protecting her business. Kent expressed frustration with Maloney's refusal to have open conversations that she felt were necessary for the show's authenticity.
