AceShowbiz - On May 23, 35-year-old veteran makeup artist Allie Shehorn was allegedly stabbed over 20 times by her ex-boyfriend at her Los Angeles home. She suffered severe gashes to her neck, arms, and abdomen. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and underwent multiple surgeries.

Christine White, Shehorn's surrogate mother, discovered her bleeding out at around 4:30 A.M. She had reportedly just obtained a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend for domestic violence. According to friends, the assailant, a background actor whom she met on the set of "Rebel Moon", fled the state after the attack. He was later arrested in Texas near the Mexican border.

Shehorn, known for her work on projects like "Babylon", "Rebel Moon", "Mean Girls" and "The Rich and the Ruthless", is now out of the ICU but has limited use of her hands. Friends have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with her medical bills and rehabilitation.

Emily MacDonald, a friend, wrote on the GoFundMe page that Shehorn "is a remarkable person, full of warmth, kindness, and love" and that "no one deserves to endure such a traumatic experience."

Despite her injuries, Shehorn remains upbeat and is determined to recover. "She's still determined not to let this beat her and is pushing through the pain to heal," said Jed Dornoff, another friend.

Shehorn is a member of the IATSE 706 Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild.
