Admitting that he was 'getting drunk everyday' before the medical emergency, the 24-year-old rapper reveals that he 'died and came back alive' after suffering a seizure.

AceShowbiz - YBN Nahmir claimed to have been brought back from the dead following a scary medical emergency. The Alabama rapper said he "died & came back to life" after suffering a seizure on Wednesday, May 8.

The 24-year-old shared the shocking news of his health issue via social media. He first posted a photo on his Instagram Stories that showed him apparently being taken to ER during the medical emergency. It's unclear if he was alert and able to capture the moment at the time, while the caption read, "Pray 4 ya boy."

In the next Story, the Alabama native shared a video that was recorded while he appeared to be lying in bed at the hospital. "I just really had a seizure TF," he wrote, adding a facepalm emoji. Lamenting his situation, he continued, "I been in this b***h all motherf**king day, this s**t is f**king killing me."

The hip-hop artist followed that up with a video that showed him driving back to Los Angeles. There were also a post indicating he was looking to collaborate with clothing brands and videos showing him performing as well as previews of new music, but it was his next Story which might take his fans aback.

"Shoutout who everybody been checking in on me all day," Nahmir wrote over a plain black background. Blaming his unhealthy lifestyle for his recent health issue, he admitted, "Been over working myself doing shows bac 2 bac.. getting drunk everyday." He then continued with the shocking detail, "Deada** died & came back alive this morning. I genuinely give a f**k about every single one of you! Thank you - Foe."

This isn't the first time Nahmir has opened up about his struggle with substance abuse. Back in 2022, he blamed the addiction for making him push away people he "cares about." The "Rubbin Off the Paint" confessed at the time, "Alright y'all, I feel like it's best for me to just get this out my system. For 3 years I've been struggling with an alcoholic addiction. I've changed so much due to it, & not in the right ways. I've pushed so many of my love [sic] ones away & the people I care about because of it."

Nahmir, whose real name is Nicholas Alexander Simmons, further explained that he's "constantly tried to slow down / stop [himself] from drinking, but it's not easy at all." The "Opp Stoppa" emcee added, "This year I want a new challenge & the challenge is for me to get clean. I never knew addiction was this hard. Before hand it was easy for me to block it out, but now it's taking a toll."

Last year, he also announced that he was heading to get help for substance use, though he did not mention what substance(s) that he had abused. "Rehab soon. understanding your addiction & admitting to it is the 1st step. pray for me on this hard journey," he tweeted at the time.
