The 'Let Me Love You' singer, who was accused of infidelities by his ex-wife Crystal Smith, claims it's the first time for him to be in a relationship with multiple women at the same time.

AceShowbiz - After several failed relationships and a messy divorce, Ne-Yo has apparently realized that monogamy is not for him. The singer, who has been spotted with multiple women following his split from ex-wife Crystal Smith, confirms that he's now a polygamist.

Met by TMZ at The Grove in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 18, the 44-year-old was walking hand-in-hand with both of his partners. He was asked his thoughts on polygamy being legalized, to which he responded, "Legalizing polygamy? I didn't know it was illegal."

The R&B star believes that when it comes to issues related to love and romance, "You should let people do whatever the hell they want to do." He argued, "Can't see how it's hurting anybody."

Despite his stance in polygamy, the "Let Me Love You" crooner won't jump into politics to make it legal. "To be honest, I don't need the government to tell me what I can and can't do in my personal life," he reasoned.

When asked about the possibility of him writing a song about dating multiple women, Ne-Yo said, "I mean the songs come out depending on the situation and the circumstance." He added, "I don't force it when it comes to music, it happens organically."

"It's the first time that I've been in a relationship, a situation like this so that no songs about it wild," the "Sexy Love" singer went on claiming. While he's enjoying a polygamous relationship, Ne-Yo said he would not recommend it to everyone.

"I don't recommend anything to anybody - what works for me might not work for you, or vice-versa," he explained. "Girls are not what works for you." The women were also asked if they would marry Ne-Yo, but they only giggled to the question.

Ne-Yo was previously married to Crystal Smith from 2016. In 2022, she filed for divorce due to his alleged infidelities and allegations that he fathered a child outside of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in January 2023.
