AceShowbiz - Offset wasn't happy to see a content creator who touts himself as a Takeoff look-alike. The former Migos star called out a man behind the Instagram page @takedown_not_takeoff by commenting on one of his posts.
In one video, the impersonator said, "I'm a celebrity look-alike, of course with these glasses on I look like Takeoff." He added, "I'm a celebrity look-alike, of course I got the best adlibs. Mama!"
The post didn't go unnoticed by Offset, who later expressed his disdain in the comment section. "No you don't twin s**t not funny!!!!!" the emcee fumed.
The man caught wind of Offset's remark, prompting him to defend himself, "@offsetyrn no disrespect but I think I do and so do others but why we can't turn something negative into something positive?" He then noted, "Long live takeoff."
Takeoff was fatally shot at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas on November 1, 2022. His death has left many people, especially in the hip-hop world, devastated.
Offset and his former bandmate Quavo have been honoring Takeoff since the tragic loss, whether it was through music or tattoos. In August 2023, Offset admitted on "Way Up With Angela Yee" that he still cries every day mourning the loss of Takeoff.
"I'm not healed. I'm being honest. I lost my brother. I'm not healed, I'm not good. This s**t don't help nothing. I be feeling like people don't," the 32-year-old shared. "We're stars, so people be thinking it's cool, but I'm a real grown man. I cry every day about this s**t. At some point, it f**ks me up every day."
"I'm still a human being. I'm dealing through s**t personally, and people's opinions matter nowadays. What's on Twitter matters. It's like, I play cool," Cardi B's estranged husband continued. "I smile for the cameras. I do fashion week and do all this s**t."
