Featuring Michael Keaton as the dastardly demon, the new footage focuses on the plot of the upcoming sequel, which is about the living and the dead figuring out how to coexist together.

AceShowbiz - Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice haunted the audience at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. New footage of "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" was unveiled during a presentation for the movie on Tuesday, April 9, with director Tim Burton and the cast on hand to discuss the film.

The footage focuses on the plot of the upcoming sequel, which is about the living and the dead figuring out how to coexist together. "The living. The dead. Can they co-exist?" Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz says in the trailer. "That's what we’re here to find out."

The trailer shows Keaton's titular character terrorizing a frightened-looking person who keeps insisting the ghost in front of him is an illusion. "Do I look like a figment of your imagination?" Beetlejuice says as he flashes the man in a demonic manner.

"It's really f**king good. In fact, it's great," Keaton gushed about the film. "I was very nervous to see if we could pull this off again," he admitted. "But every day just got better."

"This cast is so good," Keaton said of his co-stars. "Everyone is so friggin' funny." While Ryder and Jenna Ortega were not able to hit Sin City because of their production schedules, Keaton didn't forget to sing praise for the "Wednesday" star, saying, "She just got it. She's like, 'I know what the tone is.' She was just perfect."

Meanwhile, Burton said having Monica Bellucci in the movie "fulfilled my lifelong dream of making an Italian horror film." The actress said she loved all the "beautiful sets and amazing costumes. For a moment, it really felt like I was a soul-sucking evil."

Keaton rocked a brown jacket and white pants at the convention while everybody else was dressed in black. "It's like attending our own funeral," Burton described the dress code. Keaton then jested, "I didn't get the memo. I look happy."

"Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" also stars Catherine O'Hara, Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe and Burn Gorman among others. The fantasy horror comedy will open in U.S. theaters on September 6.
