During his appearance on 'CANCELLED with Tana Mongeau', the 'Son of a Sinner' singer insinuates that he does not regret missing a chance to take a picture with the embattled rapper.

AceShowbiz - Jelly Roll purposely avoided an encounter with Sean "P. Diddy" Combs before the rapper fell from his grace. The country music star revealed that he once missed a chance to take a picture with the hip-hop mogul, which he didn't seem to regret.

Appearing in the latest episode of "CANCELLED with Tana Mongeau" with his wife Bunnie Xo, the CMT Award winner was asked if he ever met a celebrity which he had "bad" interaction with. To that question, he detailed how he skipped meeting Diddy because of his hunch.

"I did '[Jimmy Kimmel Live!] the day Diddy did 'Kimmel'," the 39-year-old said, referring to an episode of the late night talk show that aired on October 30, 2023. "This is the first time in my career, ever, where they said, 'Do you want to meet such-and-such?' " he continued. "And I said, 'Yeah,' and I started walking that way. And as I was getting down the hallway - this is a true story - I said, 'Nah,' and went and got back in the car...," the "Need a Favor" crooner recalled.

His attempt at humor when he was offered the chance to meet Diddy did little to help the situation. "I made a joke at first. I was like, 'You don't wanna meet the guy who got [Tupac Shakur] killed.' Nobody thought that was funny. So I thought, That's a bomb. Maybe I shouldn't go and do this anyway," he shared. "So I was already skeptical because I thought I had a funny one."

"When we were walking, I was like, I don't know. Very seldom does things rub me in a way where I was like, 'I don't even know if that's a picture I want,' " Jelly said. His reluctance to take a picture with Diddy stemmed from previous uncomfortable encounters that the singer had on red carpets. "They're like, 'Hey, y'all get together,' " he explained. "And you're like, 'Yo, I don't really know who this human is.' "

Jelly's hunch was apparently right as less than a month later, Diddy was sued by his ex-girlfriend Cassie for alleged rape, sex trafficking and physical abuse. After settling the case with the singer, Diddy was sued by other women and music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, who accused him of similar misconducts. The Bad Boy Records founder is currently also investigated by the feds for alleged sex trafficking.
