The Bleachers lead singer abruptly shuts down a conversation after receiving a question about his involvement in the making of his pal's album 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

AceShowbiz - Jack Antonoff has refused to answer a question about Taylor Swift's new album titled "The Tortured Poets Department" during an interview. Shortly after he was asked about his pal's upcoming record, the lead singer of rock band Bleachers quickly ended the chat.

The 39-year-old music producer/artist had a conversation with Dutch news outlet NRC for an interview that was published on March 21. At one point, he was asked if he was involved in the making of Taylor's eleventh studio album.

In response, Jack said, "You know I don't talk about that." He went on to state, "If you're looking for clickbait, you've come to the wrong place. Thank you for this conversation." He then abruptly ended the conversation.

Before shutting down the interview, the "I Wanna Get Better" singer talked about the songs he produced for his rock band and ones he produced for Taylor and Lana Del Rey. He explained, "I don't see it as producing. I create music with my friends. It comes as it comes."

Jack further elaborated, "I'm not the kind of producer who likes to give commands from behind a mixing console." He continued, "I concern myself with the music itself; the way in which you can manage the creative process."

"Success is a strange phenomenon," Jack additionally shared. "It distracts attention from the ordinary mechanisms that lead to good pop music. Being able to listen to each other well is one thing. The artists I work with trust that I can help them make their music better."

Previously, it was believed that Jack was involved in the creation of Taylor's "Tortured Poets Department". In an interview published in February, the Los Angeles Times appeared to have confirmed that he had "completed" working on the record despite staying "mum" when he was asked about it.

As for the album itself, Taylor is slated to release the record on April 19. She will unleash four editions of the set, namely "The Manuscript", "The Bolter", "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog" simultaneously.
