The co-hosts of the ABC female-only panel talk show are divided when discussing whether or not Ariana Grande should speak out on Drake Bell's abuse following docu-series.

AceShowbiz - Following the release of the explosive documentary "Quiet on Set", which detailed allegations of a toxic work environment at Nickelodeon, a heated debate has ensued regarding the obligation of former child stars to speak out.

On "The View", cohost Sunny Hostin argued that Ariana Grande, who starred in Nickelodeon shows "Victorious" and "Sam & Cat", has a moral responsibility to address the allegations against the network and producer Dan Schneider. Hostin believes that her silence may be interpreted as complicity.

"She's an adult now," Hostin said. "Is silence complicity or not?"

However, cohosts Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro disagreed. Haines argued that it is an oversimplification to assume Grande knew about any wrongdoing, and that former child stars may need time to process the allegations as they look back on their experiences from a different perspective.

Griffin and Navarro emphasized that private, behind-the-scenes support for victims may be more meaningful than public statements. They stressed the importance of respecting the privacy of those who have experienced trauma.

Hostin, however, maintained her stance that public figures with platforms have a duty to speak out against injustice. She argued that Grande, as a vocal advocate for various causes, should use her voice to support survivors of abuse.

The debate highlights the complex nature of the issue, with different perspectives on the role of celebrity responsibility and the potential impact of their words.

Amidst the ongoing discussion, former "Drake & Josh" star Josh Peck was commended for privately reaching out to costar Drake Bell, who alleged that he was sexually abused by former Nickelodeon coach Brian Peck.
