The Bravo reality TV producer is urged to apologize over his comments about Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William after she announced cancer diagnosis.

AceShowbiz - Leah McSweeney, a former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City", has denounced Andy Cohen for his insensitive comments about Princess Kate Middleton prior to her shock cancer diagnosis.

On Friday, March 22, McSweeney took to Instagram Stories to criticize Cohen, with whom she is embroiled in a lawsuit. "Andy Cohen gets a kick out of being cruel to women, and Kate Middleton is no exception," she wrote. "I hope that after she was forced to publicly talk about her cancer diagnosis he will muster up the decency to apologize to her. People with power need to lead by example."

McSweeney's condemnation follows Cohen's repeated speculations about Middleton's absence from public events in recent weeks. He had suggested on social media that her appearance in a photo was not authentic and fueled rumors of marital infidelity on Prince William's part.

Calling William "his father's (son)", Cohen referred to King Charles cheating on Princess Diana with Camilla. "Don't forget he broke it off with [Middleton] after they dated for years and sowed his wild oats for a time and then went back to her," he said in his podcast.

After Middleton publicly announced her cancer diagnosis, McSweeney emphasized the importance of empathy. "Regardless of their celebrity status, people with medical conditions deserve privacy and support," she wrote.

In the wake of Middleton's revelation, other celebrities, including Blake Lively, have apologized for making light of her situation. McSweeney singled out Cohen, who has yet to retract or address his comments.

McSweeney's criticism of Cohen is part of her ongoing lawsuit against him and Bravo. She alleges that they used her addiction issues for financial gain and that Cohen engaged in inappropriate behavior with "Housewives" cast members. Cohen has denied these allegations, calling them "categorically false."
