AceShowbiz - Sophie Turner, 28, has filed legal documents to "reactivate" her divorce case with estranged husband Joe Jonas, 34. The case was previously put on hold as the couple attempted to resolve their property and child custody disputes through mediation.

However, settlement talks have reportedly collapsed, prompting Turner to seek judicial intervention. The documents request a judge to "lay down the law and end the marriage."

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, have had disagreements over the primary residence of their two daughters, Willa and Delphine. Turner has expressed a desire to relocate them to the U.K., while Jonas prefers to keep them in the U.S.

In September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, citing "irretrievable breakdown" of the marriage. The couple initially reached a temporary custody agreement that included provisions for mediation and allowed the children to travel to both England and the U.S. However, a "status report letter" due before December 23 was never submitted, indicating that the couple had not finalized their agreement.

In January, Turner dropped a "wrongful retention" claim against Jonas after the approval of a consent plan in the U.K. The plan outlined a parenting agreement that would allow the children to spend equal time in both countries.

Despite the consent plan, the couple's disputes over custody have persisted. According to reports, they have a prenuptial agreement, which may mitigate property division issues. Turner and Jonas have since moved on to new relationships. Jonas is currently dating Stormi Bree, while Turner is seeing Perry Pearson.
